Action Research Week 6 April 8, 2010
Next week is the post-test and completion of the research. Students were told that next week is the last week that they can turn in their completed take home activity log for a "prize."

Action Research Week 7
Action Research Week 7 April 22, 2010
So, my plan was to be done with my action research on April 15th but, there was a water line that broke at the school and caused the school to be closed on the 15th. Today, was the last day that students got a "prize" for bringing their completed take home activity logs. After I had checked over the logs and students had completed their warm-ups we started the post-test. Most all of the student's improved but I had some that decreased their lap count, some that stayed the same, and then the majority of the students increased by an average of 7 laps.

Hope to be done next week and finish up with a PACER post-test. As stated earlier most students are doing well with the logs and are really getting into at least 30 minutes of physical activity 3 times a week. I constantly hear when I come into school "guess what I did this week" and "I played soccer for an hour yesterday!" These comments are encouraging to hear! I am glad that they are keeping track of the amount of physical activity they are getting.

Action Research Week 4
Action Research Week 4 March 18, 2010
Students are for the most part completing their activity logs. I have a few student's who are not participating for what reason I do not know. I guess it is positive that the majority of students are completing their logs and are participating.

I didn't have too many students bring back their take home activity logs. I think it was because the didn't realize that I was giving a "prize" for them completing it.

Much better participation this week. I believe that it was from students seeing how other students got a prize just for completing their take home activity log.
