Jackson Pollock

Today's assignment was to demonstrate our ability to create, modify, archive, and publish web-based graphics while creating art in the style "Jackson Pollock." The site used to create the Jackson Pollock style artwork can be found by clicking here. Creating images at this site was fairly straightforward. While creating the artwork was simple there were some limitations in that only one color could be used, the user had little or no control over how the paint was distributed, and in order to save the image the Print Screen utility had to be used. Despite the limitations I enjoyed using the program, and made several images before coming up with one that I liked.

While I don't see many educational uses for this application unless in an art classroom, I might use the application for reflective, self expressive, and prompting purposes within my classroom.
